Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal is essentially playing on an expiring deal. He has a player option for the 2022-23 season; he is likely to decline so that he can become a free agent next offseason.
While there hasn’t been a formal request for a trade, the Wizards should get out ahead of it and get as many assets for him as they can instead of seeing him leave without any compensation in free agency.
The top landing spot for Bradley Beal in a trade would be the Golden State Warriors would be the top landing spot for him. Golden State is looking to keep their contention window open as long as possible with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green and Bradley Beal would help them do that.
Golden State would have an offensive attack that only the Brooklyn Nets could rival in firepower with Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving. Teams would have their hands full trying to slow down three perimeter players that move as well as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Bradley Beal do without the ball.

As for Washington, they would get great compensation from the Warriors. Golden State has two lottery picks in this year’s draft, No. 7 and No. 14 overall. James Wiseman, the No. 2 overall pick in 2020, would make for a solid centerpiece to offer in a deal for Bradley Beal.
Andrew Wiggins, who is still only 26-years old, could be used to match the salary and is young enough he can still develop and build off of the promising season he had with Golden State.
