3 realistic trade targets for Miami Heat this offseason

Miami Heat, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

The Miami Heat are heading for what looks to be a very busy NBA offseason. The team will have plenty of decisions to make when it comes to free agency.

Miami has two unrestricted free agents in Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn and five unrestricted free agents in Victor Oladipo, Trevor Ariza, Dewayne Dedmon, Nemanja Bjelica and Udonis Haslem. Veterans Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala have expensive team options worth $19.4 and $15 million respectively that Miami will have to make decisions about as well.

Given their current salary cap situation, it is unlikely that Miami can afford to bring all of them back into the fold next season. However, Pat Riley and company always have something up their sleeves when it comes to upgrading the roster, so you know they have some contingency plans laid out.

One of those plans could be making a trade. Miami doesn’t have much draft capital, as they do not have a first-round draft pick until 2024 that can be included in a trade. That may take them out of the running for some of the bigger named players that may become available this offseason, such as Bradley Beal or Damian Lillard.

But, Miami does have a few pieces that could be the centerpiece of a deal in Tyler Herro and Precious Achiuwa. Should Dragic or Iguodala have their options picked up, that could be used to help match salary, as well.

Who might the Heat be able to land in a trade with those assets? Here are three realistic trade targets for the Heat this offseason.
