1. Golden State Warriors won’t make a pick in the first round
Should the Golden State Warriors begin looking toward the future? Or should they put together a roster that can win-now around Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green?
Playing both sides hardly ever works, so my guess is that the Warriors elect to maximize their window with their longtime trio. Golden State has missed the playoffs in two straight years, which should incentivize them to be aggressive this offseason.
The Warriors are another team with two first-round picks, one coming at No. 7 (via the Minnesota Timberwolves) and the other landing at No. 14.
Golden State could add two young players to their roster in hopes they develop into long-term fixtures in the organization. But the team did that last year with James Wiseman, and while Thompson’s season-long injury didn’t help, his selection wasn’t conducive to winning immediately.

After considering their options, the Warriors trade both of their first-round picks in exchange for a proven star that can aid Curry, Thompson, and Green in returning to the postseason.
