2. New York Knicks trade up into the top 10
What a year it was for the New York Knicks, even with an early exit from the playoff by the hand of the Atlanta Hawks. In Tom Thibodeau’s first season at the helm, the Knicks secured the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-31 record.
The team’s duo of Julius Randle and RJ Barrett led the way, but there is plenty more work to fine tune the roster into a true title contender moving forward.
The Knicks are expected to be an active team this offseason, and that begins in the 2021 NBA Draft. With New York having the 19th overall selection and the 21st overall selection, they could make a move inside the top 10.
As the pre-draft process continues, the Knicks could find themselves falling in love with one of the prospects, prompting them to move up to get ‘their’ guy.

Teams like the Magic, the Sacramento Kings, or the New Orleans Pelicans could be willing to do business with New York come draft time.
