4. Oklahoma City Thunder make only one selection in the first round
Oklahoma City has attempted to acquire as many draft picks as they possibly can in hopes it leads them back to being a contender in the Western Conference again.
Since the days of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, and Serge Ibaka, the Thunder haven’t been a relevant team. With the lottery being made official, Oklahoma City holds three first-round picks in the 2021 NBA Draft.
Most notably, they have the No. 6 overall pick, which could give them an opportunity to snag one of the premier prospects in the draft. The other two picks are the No. 16 and No. 18 overall picks, putting them in an awkward spot in the first round.
What if one of the prospects they want doesn’t make it to 16? Or what if the Thunder aren’t able to conduct a trade to move up to get the guy they want?

There’s also the chance that Oklahoma City prefers to move their latter picks for a proven player or two to begin building the roster to how they see fit for the future. In the end, the Thunder will only use one of their three first-round picks.
