5. There are more than 20 trades conducted during the 2021 NBA Draft
Over the years, the NBA Draft is always a perfect time for teams to move on from players so they can replace them with someone in the draft.
Conversely, some teams choose to use their draft pick toward acquiring a player that can help them return to contention in the following season.
Trades are inevitable in the draft, as there are plenty of trades that occur in the second round due to teams not wanting to take a chance on second-round prospects.
During the 2020 NBA Draft, there were 17 draft-day trades that took place, including the one that sent Dennis Schroder to the Lakers, and the one that sent Al Horford to the Thunder.

This year’s draft is expected to be one of the most loaded and deepest drafts in recent memory. That won’t stop teams from making a flurry of moves throughout the draft, eclipsing 20+ trades by the end of the second round.
