1. Detroit Pistons

Cade Cunningham, PG, Oklahoma State

There should be no way the Detroit Pistons decide to pass on Cade Cunningham. They were able to hit the lottery and land this pick to take their next franchise player. Cunningham has the size, skill, and starpower to turn into an elite player at the next level. This is a chance for the Pistons to get a player to build around during their rebuilding period.

2. Houston Rockets

Jalen Green, SG, G-League Elite

The Houston Rockets missed out on the chance to draft Cunningham despite having the worst record in the league this season. Regardless, they will have a chance to land a backcourt piece needed to move forward. Jalen Green has been linked to the Rockets recently. He showed an ability to score at all three levels during his time in the G-League. Green has solidified himself as one of the best prospects in this draft and could go No. 2 here.

3. Cleveland Cavaliers

Evan Mobley, C, USC

If Evan Mobley is available here for the Cleveland Cavaliers, this could be the perfect situation for both sides. The Cavaliers have had some shuffling down low and that could continue if Kevin Love is traded and Jarrett Allen does not sign in free agency. Mobley is without a doubt the top big man in the draft and has a game that will translate well into the NBA.

4. Toronto Raptors

Jalen Suggs, PG, Gonzaga

With Kyle Lowry entering free agency, it is likely that the Raptors will look for some more help in the backcourt. If Green is off the board, Jalen Suggs is the selection here. He showed plenty during his one year at Gonzaga and this has made him a player to build around. Suggs has great speed, can score from all three levels, and has an intense passion for the game.

5. Orlando Magic

Scottie Barnes, SF, Florida State

This is where the first surprise could come into play. Scottie Barnes could sneak into the top-five because of the fit in Orlando. The Magic seem to like his versatility and what he would be able to bring right away. Barnes has the size to contribute on both ends right away. If he develops his jump shot soon, there is no reason why Barnes will not be one of the top players coming out of this draft.
