Does this trade make sense for the Boston Celtics?

There are few teams that can win without that elite point guard and if they do, they have one of the best players in the league leading the way. Right now, the Boston Celtics do not have either one.

Walker was not a fit since coming to town and is finally out. Now, it is time to find that fit next to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. It will be interesting to see how Sexton would fit. He has shown an ability to be successful with the ball in his hands but Tatum and Brown are also offensive dynamos.

The Celtics would be a difficult offense for opposing defenses to handle but Boston will have to find a scheme that is right for all three players to be successful. The main intrigue of this deal is that it is not too expensive.

Smart is a big trade piece for the Celtics and Nesmith has been featured as well. They would be able to hang onto Romeo Langford, who has been a favorite of the front office since joining the franchise.

Boston had their one down year and it would be surprising to see them in the same position next season. They have been one of the best teams in the league and very well run for years now. That is not going to change with Stevens now in charge.
