There were recent reports that suggested that Damian Lillard was going to request a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers this NBA offseason.
While Lillard denied the reports, he didn’t exactly give a glowing response when asked about the current state of the Trail Blazers.
As a result of his comments on Portland’s standing within the Western Conference hierarchy, some people are assuming that a trade request could still be imminent for the All-Star point guard, and the Miami Heat have been listed as a team that could pursue him.
If Lillard was to ask out, there would be a large number of teams in the NBA that would be clamoring to have an opportunity to acquire him.
