Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz is looking to shake things up this offseason. They reportedly have some interest in packing Bojan Bogdanovic and Joe Ingles together to upgrade the roster around Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell. A swap could be possible for Draymond Green.

While watching the Jazz during the 2021 postseason, there was one glaring issue; they cannot keep up with opponents that go small. When the Clippers lost Kawhi Leonard to a knee injury in their second-round series against the Utah Jazz, Tyronn Lue decided to go small and it worked to perfection.

The Clippers won two games in a row against the Jazz, including one in Salt Lake City, despite not having Leonard in the lineup. The Jazz could not take Gobert off the court despite Terence Mann catching fire and never slowing down.

That issue would no longer persist for the Jazz should Green be added to the team. He has plenty of experience playing small-ball center and would give the Utah Jazz the component they are lacking when teams do it against them.

While Green wouldn’t provide much firepower when it comes to scoring the ball, he would compensate for the loss of playmaking from Ingles departure and Mike Conley, if he does not re-sign in free agency. His impact defensively would also help in evening out the offensive losses.
