The New York Knicks are in a great position heading into the NBA offseason. They are riding high off of their 41-31 regular season and have the assets to continue improving upon that roster.
New York has two first-round draft picks this season, No. 19 and No. 21. The 21st overall pick is courtesy of the Dallas Mavericks from the Kristaps Porzingis trade. In addition to those, they also have two second-round picks, No. 32 and No. 58 overall.
Obi Toppin and Kevin Knox are two younger players they also have that could be included in trade talks. The Knicks will have a ton of cap space this summer, so they can be aggressive pursuing players in free agency.
It is unlikely, especially with Tom Thibodeau as head coach, that the Knicks will use all four selections to add that many more rookies to the roster. Thibodeau wants to win as soon as possible and if an avenue emerges that they can flip some of this draft capital into established veterans, he will push for it.
