The Charlotte Hornets have plenty of flexibility if they want to send away a player in the backcourt this offseason. That is something that would interest many NBA teams in the trade market and that includes the Chicago Bulls. These two rebuilding franchises could get together for a deal that lines up well with each other.

Charlotte has three solid options at the guard positions. Terry Rozier was the first to burst onto the scene when he signed a free agent deal with the Hornets. Devonte’ Graham turned into a reliable weapon and LaMelo Ball has a chance to turn into a star in the league.

The Hornets are strong in the backcourt but struggle downlow. There are plenty of options and the team could look into a trade to improve the frontcourt.

Chicago is on the other end of the spectrum. They added Nikola Vucevic at the trade deadline and solidified the frontcourt along with Lauri Markkanen. The Bulls feature Zach LaVine at shooting guard and he is one of the top scorers in the game.

Other than that, the depth and explosiveness in the backcourt leaves much to be desired. Chicago has been linked to point guards in the offseason because that is their priority moving forward.

If the Bulls are looking for a guard, there are a few teams out there better suited to make a trade with the Hornets. Let’s take a look at a potential deal between these two sides in the offseason.
