The Los Angeles Lakers could continue to be extremely aggressive this offseason. This is something we have seen in the past and it landed them a championship down in the NBA Bubble year ago. After the disappointing season they had this time around, the front office could look to retool in many places.

It was a year full of injuries for the Lakers. Both LeBron James and Anthony Davis missed time in the regular season and this caused them to slip down the standings.

The Lakers enter the postseason as the seventh seed and despite being favored in the series, lost to the Phoenix Suns in the first round. Los Angeles will continue to be championship favorite heading into next season and could solidify that notion by making some upgrades.

The Minnesota Timberwolves could be the ideal trade partner for a team like the Lakers. Minnesota is in full rebuild mode and has been for many years. They have been unable to build around Karl-Anthony Towns and this is where we could see them start to make significant moves.

Towns and D’Angelo Russell seem to be at the top of NBA trade rumors. It is unlikely of Minnesota will move their big man but they could get a large return for him. However, some of the other players around him very well could be dealt.

This is not a trade involving Towns but it is one that would benefit both sides. Let’s take a look at what this potential trade might look like between Los Angeles in Minnesota.
