Does this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?
Monte Morris might not be a long-term piece for the Denver Nuggets. If this is the case, they should look to take advantage of his value right away. A trade parner like the Boston Celtics could be genuinely intriguing for a few key reasons.
Morris scored 10.2 points per game this season while shooting 38% from three-point range. He would be a great fit for Boston and land Denver some assets. This is a deal that would benefit both sides in different ways.
Nesmith has not been able to take that next step in Boston. Danny Ainge was a fan of Nesmith but with him stepping down, there could be a deal made. Nesmith could become a rotation player with the Nuggets and a first-round pick is another intriguing aspect of this deal.
When it comes to winning teams, they have to have the right depth off the bench and promise for the future. There is a chance that Nesmith could turn into one of the future pieces for the Nuggets if given a chance.
