Boston Celtics Receive: G Bradley Beal
Washington Wizards Receive: G/F Jaylen Brown, G Romeo Langford, F Aaron Nesmith, C Tristan Thompson, 2023 First-Round Draft Pick and 2025 First-Round Draft Pick
While some Celtics fans would not want to surrender Jaylen Brown in any deals, he is most likely a necessary centerpiece in any deal for a superstar. NBA Insider Chris Mannix has already floated the idea that the Celtics should consider trading Brown if it means landing Beal or Portland Trail Blazers superstar, Damian Lillard.
In this scenario, they do just that. Beal becomes the new cornerstone of the franchise alongside Jayson Tatum, and the two already have a great relationship with each other.
For the Wizards, trading away Beal would net them a ton of assets to jumpstart their rebuild. Jaylen Brown is a great foundational piece and could flourish even more as the guy. Romeo Langford and Aaron Nesmith give them two more young players to develop. Langford has battled injuries throughout his career but has a ton of potential. Nesmith was considered one of, if not the best shooter in the 2020 draft class.
Thompson is used to mostly match salary, but given the hole Washington has at center, he could find some minutes. He is a steady veteran that would bring much-needed championship experience.

Washington is only receiving two draft picks in this scenario because they were able to get Brown and two players who were recent first-rounders.
Without Brown, Washington would assuredly ask for 6-8 first-round draft picks, but it would be unlikely Stevens would be approved to make such a move. Trading away virtually every first-round draft pick the team has made in the last three years with that many future picks is not something a first-time general manager is normally allowed to do.
