Sacramento Kings
When you’re a team like the Sacramento Kings, who don’t have much of a bright future, getting any exciting players is a home-run move.
Seeing that the Nuggets aren’t eager to keep Michael Porter Jr. around for long, it’s hard to envision many contenders wanting him. For the Kings, getting Porter would fill a glaring need on the roster and give them a player that could excite fans.
Outside of De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton, Sacramento doesn’t have many building blocks on their roster. Marvin Bagley hasn’t panned out yet due to injuries, Buddy Hield could be on his way out with an overcrowded backcourt, and Harrison Barnes is a potential trade candidate.
Not to mention, Richaun Holmes is expected to depart in free agency.

With the Kings searching for a versatile forward to pair with Fox and Haliburton, Porter would become an instant contributor for a franchise that hasn’t been to the postseason since 2005-06.
