#2 Tre Mann – Guard – Florida
While he did not play much during his freshman season at Florida, Tre Mann really made a big leap during his sophomore season this past year, which is why he finds himself as a first-round graded point guard. In 24 games for the Gators this year, Mann averaged 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.4 steals and shot 40.2% from three-point range.
At the NBA Combine, Mann measured in at 6’4.25” with shoes and recorded a 6’4” wingspan. Neither of these two measurements really caught the attention of anybody and he did not play in the scrimmages either, but Tre Mann has performed well in his pre-draft workouts, sources tell NBA Analysis Network.
At Florida, the biggest advantage the 20-year-old guard had was the fact that he could play on or off-the-ball. Whether it was knocking down shots from the perimeter or being able to break down his opponents with his ball-handling skills, Mann was always one of the “go-to” options for the Gators.
He is not a terrific athlete and does not possess an explosive first-step, which could turn into a problem in the NBA, but being a crafty finisher gives Tre Mann an advantage when he gets inside the paint. The main reason why the New York Knicks could be interested in Mann though is because of his similarities to Immanuel Quickley.

Both guys thrive in pick-and-roll sets and have made a name for themselves at the college-level for being playmakers. The Knicks also need more perimeter shooting, which is why Mann could be of use to them off-the-bench as a combo-guard.
There are still a lot of questions about if Mann will continue to grow skill-wise and size-wise, but he is not a bad first-round prospect by any means. Tre Mann is going to be a first-round pick in this year’s draft, but whether or not he can grow into an effective scorer without possessing a high-motor is yet to be determined.
