The Celtics have needed help in the frontcourt for a long time now. This is something they did not address last offseason and it showed negative effects immediately. There were plenty of options a year ago and the front office decided to pass on the mall. They cannot afford to make the same mistake this time around. The Celtics sent Daniel Theis to the Chicago Bulls during the NBA trade deadline.

Robert Williams has shown that he is not a reliable starter down low and Al Horford does not appear to be a long-term option given his age. Whether it is in free agency or on the trading block, the Celtics need to find an option.

Some names that come to mind are Myles Turner and Jonas Valanciunas. They are two big men that could be on the trading block once the playoffs are complete.
