4. Adjust to New Head Coach

Brad Stevens has been one of the best head coaches in the league since coming over from Butler. This is one of the reasons that he was promoted to the front office. Stevens is a strong basketball mind and there is no doubt that he will keep the Celtics reputation as one of the most well-run franchises in the league.

There were plenty of options for Boston to bring in as head coach. They landed on Ime Udoka. The details of his contract have not been released but there is at least a name attached to the job.

It is important for the team to adjust to the new coach right away. If they do not, there will be some struggles.

To use the Nets as an example, Steve Nash looked like he was in over his head during his first year as head coach in Brooklyn. It is important for a head coach to come in and set the tone right away and the team has to buy in.
