Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?

It is time for the Sacramento Kings to find a way to get things going. They are in the midst of an extended drought from the postseason and there are no signs of them getting back. The Kings have thrown some big names into NBA trade rumors.

It is unlikely that he is moved but the same cannot be said about Buddy Hield. If the relationship is truly tarnished between Hield and Sacramento, it is time that a deal is made. However, there is now a basketball element to take into consideration with Tyrese Haliburton in the fold.

Derrick White is an intriguing player that could be the return in a trade involving Hield. He has improved over time and turned into a consistent contributor for San Antonio. He missed some time this season but was impressive when on the floor. Most importantly, he’s a cheaper option.

White is a 35.7% three-point shooter over the course of his career and that could improve in an extended role. That is what he would have next to Sacramento next to De’Aaron Fox. This is a backcourt that can be around for the long haul.
