The Miami Heat have been linked to many big-name NBA players over the last year. After a lackluster season down south, Pat Riley could look to shake things up within the roster. It would be wise to go to a rebuilding team like the Minnesota Timberwolves to see who is on sale.

In this deal, D’Angelo Russell would be the player being moved to Miami. Russell was originally brought to town because he was close with Karl-Anthony Towns and this was supposed to create a duo.

Of cousre, it’s early given how rare the opportunities have been for them to share the floor, but overall, it does not seem to be working as the Timberwolves continue to be one of the worst teams in the league. Because of this trade that was made with the Golden State Warriors to acquire Russell, the Timberwolves do not have their first-round pick in this year’s draft.

As for Miami, they were unable to capitalize on a season where they made a run to the NBA Finals. The Heat finished sixth in a weak Eastern Conference and were swept out of the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks.
