Ben Simmons
The Philadelphia 76ers had arguably the most disappointing postseason of any team in the NBA despite making it to the second round. A lot of the blame for the team not advancing further has been placed on the lap of Ben Simmons.
Simmons’s reluctance to shoot the ball crippled the 76ers’ offense. He was passing up wide open dunks, afraid to be fouled and have to go to the free throw line, where he set a record for worst percentage in a single postseason.
While his stock is undeniably low right now, the Trail Blazers would still be smart to target him if Philadelphia is one of the teams that emerge for Damian Lillard. Despite his shortcomings offensively, Ben Simmons will only be turning 25 this summer. He still has time to develop, but he is already elite in some areas.
Simmons already has multiple All-NBA Defensive Team awards to his credit. He is a multi-time All-Star that is an elite rebounder and playmaker.
