With the trade of Kemba Walker already being done this offseason, the Boston Celtics will now be shopping for a point guard. Luckily for them, there will be a number of them available, whether it is in NBA free agency or via trade.

While many Celtics fans are holding out hope that the team can swing a deal for a superstar point guard, such as Damian Lillard, the cost for him would be exponential. One player that would be a lot cheaper to acquire would be Indiana Pacers guard, Malcolm Brogdon.

While plenty of trade rumors have swirled about the Celtics being interested in Pacers’ center Myles Turner, Brogdon would also be a good player for the team to target.

Brogdon would provide Boston with another scoring threat, as he averaged 21.2 points per game this past season, knocking down 38.8 percent of his 3-point attempts in the process. He also chipped in 5.9 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 0.9 steals per game.

The Virginia product is also a stingy defender, something the Celtics could use more on the perimeter as Marcus Smart is the only plus defender they currently have from the backcourt.

Brogdon would be a good fit for the Celtics’ starting five as they already have two great wing players in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. If they want to continue building the roster around them, Brogdon is a good piece to acquire.

What would it take for Boston to land the Indiana point guard? Here are two trade packages that would do it.
