Does this trade make sense for the Atlanta Hawks?

The Atlanta Hawks got a taste of success this season and that is what they are looking to keep around. trae Young has shown that he is a franchise player and the front office put some pieces around him.

Bogdan Bogdanovic was a nice complement to Young on the perimeter. When looking at the small-forward position, it is one that can improve with a trade like this.

John Collins has a chance to leave in free agency. He turned down a $90-million extension prior to the start of the regular season because he could get more this time around. This will leave an even bigger hole if it happens. Jerami Grant would bring a dynamic player to the position right away.

In 54 games this season, Grant scored 22.3 points per game while shooting 35% from three-point range. He is a true ‘3-and-D’ player, which is extremely valuable in the league.

Grant can defend all five positions and score from all three levels. This would space the floor even more for the backcourt and give the Hawks plenty of options on the offensive end.

The Hawks made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals this season. This means they will enter next year with high expectations and they could be reached with a trade like this.
