Oklahoma City Thunder
Hear me out. Maybe Kemba Walker was already traded to the team that he will spend next season with. There are reports that a trade involving Walker from Oklahoma City is ‘imminent’.
However, whenever Presti spoke about the Walker trade when it first occurred, he talked as if he had plans for Walker to remain with the Thunder.
Though, it remains to be seen if those plans come into fruition, especially if Walker wants to play for a team that is closer to being a playoff contender.
If Walker were to stay with Oklahoma City, he would immediately become the starting point guard alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Walker would serve as a primary scorer for the Thunder, while also holding a mentor role for the younger players on the roster.

Even though he’d prefer to be playing for a title contender, it may be best for Walker to showcase what he has left with Oklahoma City before heading elsewhere in the future.
