A story coming out of New Orleans is that Zion Williamson’s family is unhappy with his current situation with the team. The Pelicans need to put the right talent around their all-star forward and do it quickly. They could do so in NBA free agency or through a bit of a blockbuster trade such as this one.
The Sacramento Kings could be an interesting team to watch in a trade. It feels like they have been mentioning rumors nonstop since last year. Buddy Hield has been thrown around in NBA trade rumors since last offseason and Marvin Bagley III is another big name mentioned.
Sacramento needs to do whatever they can to get back to the postseason and one of the longest droughts in the league. They have been near the bottom of the Western Conference for too long and a trade could get some relevance once again within the organization.
The Pelicans are in the same boat. They have a strong duo in Williamson and Brandon Ingram but have been unable to take the next step toward the postseason.

Williamson is the real deal and a player that the Pelicans need to keep satisfied so he stays around long-term. They can do so by landing a young point guard who has already blossomed into a star.
The Kings could have just a player waiting for New Orleans with De’Aaron Fox but would need an NBA trade scenario to get it done. Here is a potential deal they could land in New Orleans this offseason.
