Miami Heat
The best option for Goran Dragic this offseason would be returning to the Miami Heat even if they decline his option. Miami also has Kendrick Nunn entering NBA free agency, so it is imperative that they are able to retain at least one of them.
Dragic is loved by the organization and Jimmy Butler is a big fan of his. Miami could decline his option and work out a deal that adds a year or two to his contract, spreading out the money that he would have been owed.
That is something that would be good for both sides, as Dragic gets some security with his health deteriorating and Miami opens up a little money to spend elsewhere.
Dragic has settled into a nice role with the Heat as the general of their second unit. Replacing him would prove difficult for the organization unless they made some other moves to open up money.

At that point, bringing back a player they are familiar with without losing even more depth on their roster would prove to be the prudent thing to do.
