New York Knicks
The New York Knicks shocked everyone during the 2020-21 season, finishing fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 41-31. This offseason they will look to upgrade the roster to continue building on that impressive performance.
Point guard is a huge need in New York, but they also need help on the wings. The Knicks had virtually zero small forwards on the roster last season, using RJ Barrett, Reggie Bullock and Alec Burks, all shooting guards, to soak up much of the wing minutes.
So, Oubre Jr. would certainly fit a need for New York.
Adding another scorer to the mix is something the Knicks need as well. Oubre Jr. would provide that from the wing, and with how well Tom Thibodeau and his staff developed the players on the roster this past season, there should be a lot of optimism that they can unlock Oubre Jr., too.

If anyone can unlock Oubre Jr.’s defensive potential to go along with what he has shown he can do offensively, it is Thibodeau.
