Does this trade make sense for the Oklahoma City Thunder?
Sam Presti has done a wonderful job compiling assets over the years. He has the ammunition to pull off multiple blockbuster trades.
While they are waiting for the right opportunity to make their move, this is a good first step in returning to relevancy and building a winning team.
Eventually, the Thunder are going to have to add some veterans to get a winning culture started. Harris would present a solid building block to do that alongside Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Normally attaching two first-round picks to a player would be damaging for a franchise’s draft capital, but not the Thunder. It seems steep, but the market for Walker could very well be a quiet one depending on how the draft, free agency and other potential trades (Damian Lillard) shake out.

Landing a borderline All-Star in Harris for a player in Walker that you had no intentions of keeping is a win for the Thunder. Harris can also provide valuable experience and leadership to what is a very young roster.
