The Miami Heat started their 2021 offseason much earlier than they thought they would. After making a run to the NBA Finals in the Orlando Bubble, the Heat was swept out of the first round of the 2021 postseason by the Milwaukee Bucks.

The team could not shake the injury bug, as head coach Eric Spoelstra was constantly juggling the rotation as players were in and out of the lineup all season. The team made some trades during the season to try and swing things, but ultimately, they came up short.

Pat Riley is not one to take these shortcomings lightly. He will do whatever it takes to put what he feels is the best team on the court. He isn’t afraid to swing the fences and he could do it once again this offseason for Portland Trail Blazers star, Damian Lillard.

While Lillard hasn’t yet formally requested a trade, there are rumblings of rumors around the NBA that he could be on his way out of town this season.
