The Philadelphia 76ers season ended disappointingly. They did all the work during the NBA regular season to earn the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and have homecourt throughout the playoffs. They had Game 7 against the Atlanta Hawks in the second round in their gym and still were unable to get over the hump, getting eliminated in front of their fans.
A lot of the scrutiny from that loss has been directed at Ben Simmons. His lack of confidence offensively derailed Philadelphia, as the image of him passing up a dunk for fear of being fouled by Trae Young will live in infamy.
Many people believed the 76ers would move on from Simmons this offseason. This is a player the Houston Rockets asked for in exchange for James Harden. Now, given how low his value is, the 76ers wouldn’t come close to a player of that caliber.
Instead, Daryl Morey and company would be better off retooling what is still a good roster anchored by Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris. The Rockets would provide a good avenue to do that with veteran Eric Gordon.

What would this Gordon trade look like? Let’s examine this hypothetical deal between Houston and Philadelphia.
