Does this trade make sense for the Boston Celtics?
The Boston Celtics made all kinds of changes to the organization this offseason. Brad Stevens was promoted to the front office after Danny Ainge decided to step down. He is now making decisions in the front office and already made a big one when he decided to trade Kemba Walker.
A Ben Simmons trade could be another blockbuster deal Stevens attempts to pull off. It is far from a likely NBA trade scenario, but it’s a fascinating one to think about, nevertheless.
Simmons would continue to add star power to the Celtics. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown already leaders on the offensive end and neither one will have to be moved in the deal. With the stretch-five skill-set of Al Horford to tie it all together, Boston would have a genuinely intriguing lineup.
This is an aspect of Simmons could help improve right away. He is an elite passer and one of the better perimeter defenders in the league. It would be an expensive deal with the Celtics are plenty of assets that they can use to add another star.
