Similar to the Washington Wizards, the New Orleans Pelicans are going to undergo a coaching change this offseason. Only for New Orleans, they are making a coaching change just one year after hiring Stan Van Gundy.

The main focus of the Pelicans is to make sure they put together a roster that can convince Zion Williamson to stay long-term. Of the players on the roster right now, Brandon Ingram is reportedly uncertain if he fits alongside Williamson on the Pelicans.

With that in mind, the Wizards and the Pelicans can possibly begin discussions on a deal that would send Beal to New Orleans. Bradley Beal would get an opportunity to form a dynamic duo with Zion Williamson, and the Pelicans would undoubtedly make more moves after that.

As for Washington, they’d get Brandon Ingram, a 23-year-old small forward who is of the same mold as Kevin Durant. Ingram is entering his sixth season in the NBA next season and he has plenty of room for growth, which is scary for opposing teams.

While losing Bradley Beal would be a sad day for fans in the nation’s capital, getting a franchise cornerstone in Brandon Ingram wouldn’t be the worst return.
