Miami Heat just made the NBA Finals in 2020
Some may call it a “flaw” and a season with an asterisk on it because of the pandemic, but the Miami Heat did make the 2020 NBA Finals in the NBA Bubble. The playing circumstances were different and there were no fans, but at the end of the day, they still took down the likes of the Pacers, Bucks and Celtics en route to a matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Unfortunately, injuries to Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo limited what the Heat could achieve in this championship matchup and they ultimately lost the 2020 NBA Finals four games to two. They may have had a down season this year, but this is an organization that prides themselves on their ability to compete for championships.
The Miami Heat just made the NBA Finals in 2020 and this was not a fluke. They proved themselves to be the best team in the Eastern Conference during the playoffs in the NBA Bubble and they can do so again with things back to normal if they were to add Kawhi Leonard.
Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are two fantastic players and All-Star quality talents, but this team still seems like they are missing something.

Getting that third key talent is key this offseason, but adding Kawhi Leonard to this team instantly puts the Heat on the same level as the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers in terms of being championship contenders in the East.
