4 potential Karl-Anthony Towns trades the Timberwolves should pursue

The control that players have on their careers in the NBA has been pleasant to see in recent years, with superstar players being able to escape the confines of losing franchises.

We saw Anthony Davis force his way off of the New Orleans Pelicans, only to win a ring with the Los Angeles Lakers in his first year outside of New Orleans. Could Karl-Anthony Towns be the next premier player to request a trade from an abysmal organization?

There is no rush for the Timberwolves to conduct a trade involving Towns as he has three years remaining on his current contract. However, the move could be expedited if Towns believes it is time for him to pursue greener pastures.

Unless Minnesota can make a flurry of moves this offseason to convince Towns that they are trying to win, then there’s no need for him to waste another year of his career.

If the Timberwolves were to share that they are listening to offers for Towns, teams would be blowing up their phone trying to conjure up a package for the gifted center. And if Towns isn’t fond of the direction of Minnesota’s organization, then the team may have no choice but to seek the best trade package for him.

In light of that, I’ll be taking a look at a few trade packages that the Timberwolves should pursue for Towns this offseason.
