Utah Jazz Receive: G Collin Sexton
Cleveland Cavaliers Receive: G Jordan Clarkson, 2021 first-round pick and 2024 first-round pick
Collin Sexton would be going to the Utah Jazz in this deal to team up with Donovan Mitchell. It would create an explosive backcourt in a difficult Western Conference. This is a team that already earned the top seed this past year and finish with the best record in the league.
Jordan Clarkson was named the Sixth Man of the Year in the NBA this season. He took a huge step forward and created some value for himself. Clarkson, along with two first-round picks, would be the return going to Cleveland.
The premise of this deal would be the Jazz essentially finding a long-term answer at the point guard position without risking Mike Conley departing in NBA free agency leaving them empty-handed. Of course, he still could return and the odds are favorable, but Sexton is a more permanent solution.

The Cavaliers are not interested in handing out major extensions to both Sexton and Jarrett Allen, so the Jazz would basically be acquiring a player they are comfortable paying. Cleveland’s unwillingness to do so opens a unique opportunity for the Jazz to capitalize.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Collin Sexton would benefit both Cleveland Cavaliers and Utah Jazz.
