Minnesota Timberwolves
Finding a place where he’s comfortable should be important to Ben Simmons. During his time with the 76ers, Simmons has looked out of sorts at times, whether it be due to the organization’s approach to his game, or him lacking confidence.
Maybe a change of scenery to a place where he can play with one of his friends in the league could help Simmons get his confidence back. Simmons is known to be close friends with both D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns, who are both on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
There’s a decent chance that D’Angelo Russell would have to be involved in a trade for Ben Simmons as Philadelphia could benefit from getting a guard like Russell. Karl-Anthony Towns is too expensive a piece and it would make no sense for the 76ers to acquire him with Joel Embiid already manning the center spot.
The Timberwolves are another team that possesses a cloudy future, with Towns making the playoffs once since entering the league in 2015.

Having Towns and Anthony Edwards would place less pressure on Simmons to be a go-to-scorer on the roster. Even though the 76ers are still discussing their best options with Simmons, the Timberwolves present themselves as a team that has a piece or two that Philadelphia could use moving forward.
