Sacramento Kings
If the 76ers do choose to part ways with Ben Simmons this summer, they would likely prefer to send him somewhere that wouldn’t affect them in the Eastern Conference. In the chance that Simmons evolves as a shooter, they don’t want to be stuck in his crosshairs as he exacts his revenge on the team that gave up on him (to be fair, Simmons has had time to improve his game himself).
As terrible as it would be for his career moving forward, the Sacramento Kings could be a team that expresses interest in Simmons.
Besides De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton, the Kings don’t have much to build around on the roster. Due to the lack of franchise pieces they have, and their bleak future ahead, Sacramento would have nothing to lose in a move for Simmons.
At the least, getting a player that draws as much attention as Simmons would bring some intrigue to an organization that hasn’t touched the playoffs since the 2005-06 season.

The only question is, who would the Kings send to the 76ers in a trade for Simmons. De’Aaron Fox and Tyrese Haliburton are likely off-limits, and none of the other players on Sacramento’s roster are worth trading Simmons for.
If both sides could come to an agreement that benefit both teams, then we could see Simmons make the move to California, but not to one of the contending franchises in the Western Conference.
