Does this trade make sense for the Denver Nuggets?

The Denver Nuggets suffered another early exit in the postseason this year. They were aggressive at the NBA trade deadline and added Aaron Gordon to the team. This is when they began to rise up the standings. There could be some more moves out there that fit the team well.

This could be one of those deals. Michael Porter Jr. has plenty of value around him and this is something to Denver to look to take advantage of. With the sixth pick, they would be able to land one of the top players in the 2021 NBA Draft.

This could get them a versatile player like Scottie Barnes or even a future star like Jonathan Kuminga. There will be plenty of options for Denver to add in a deep draft class. Alongside Jamal Murray on the perimeter, having a wing of that type would be intriguing.

There is a lot to like about Michael Porter Jr.’s potential long-term but there are defensive limitations to take into consideration alongside Nikola Jokic. There wouldn’t be those concerns with Luguentz Dort.
