Denver Nuggets Receive: F Ben Simmons
Philadelphia 76ers Receive: F Aaron Gordon, G Monte Morris, F Will Barton, 2021 first-round pick, and 2024 first-round pick
Ben Simmons could use a change of scenery and has become a name that has taken NBA trade rumors by storm since the Philadelphia 76ers’ poor ending in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
There is no way it will be easy for him moving forward if he is in Philadelphia after having such a struggling postseason for the 76ers.
Playing alongside Joel Embiid doesn’t seem to be the best fit for either side going forward. While Embiid certainly can step out and shoot, it’s not what you’d ideally want him doing. When coupled with Simmons’ free throw shooting woes, it’s a clunky pairing at this point.
The 76ers would need to receive an attractive return in order to move on from Simmons, though. Receiving a wing replacement in Aaron Gordon with some intriguing pieces like Monte Morris, Will Barton, and some draft assets would be a solid option.

The Nuggets would be gambling on Nikola Jokic being a better fit alongside Ben Simmons. Also, when Jamal Murray returns to the lineup, having a dynamic pull-up shooting threat could be a helpful dynamic that Simmons never has benefited from playing alongside in the NBA.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Ben Simmons would benefit both sides the Denver Nuggets and Philadelphia 76ers.
