Zach LaVine
After getting two realistic options out of the way, there are two players that would be hard to envision in a trade for Ben Simmons, but it would be remiss for Philadelphia not to try.
The first home-run choice in a Simmons trade would be Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls. LaVine has grown into a much-improved player since he was wowing fans in the dunk contest.
Following a 2019-20 season in which he recorded 25.7 points and 4.2 assists per game on 38 percent shooting from beyond the arc, LaVine mustered up 27.4 points and 4.9 assists on 41.9 percent shooting from three-point range this season.
What makes LaVine such an intriguing player is that he’s still only 26 years old, and he has more room for improvement moving forward. Seeing that Chicago made the move to acquire Nikola Vucevic at the trade deadline this season, it’s unlikely that the Bulls would move on from LaVine right now.

Especially for a player like Simmons, who would cause Chicago’s offense to undergo an overhaul. Morey needs to swing for the fences in a Simmons trade and LaVine is one of the premier options that would fit right in with the 76ers.
