CJ McCollum
Similar to the 76ers, the Portland Trail Blazers have an interesting offseason on the horizon. Following the decision to fire Terry Stotts, the Trail Blazers are tasked with putting together a better roster around Damian Lillard.
Even though NBA trade rumors are inevitably going to happen, Lillard is likely off-limits this offseason. But that doesn’t mean the 76ers can’t express interest in the second-best player on the Trail Blazers.
Changes are bound to happen in Portland, and CJ McCollum could be a victim of the franchise wanting to make alterations to the roster. While McCollum isn’t near the level of player as Lillard, he’s still a player that fits the mold of what Philadelphia is looking for.
McCollum can score in a multitude of ways and most importantly, he can excel in off-ball situations as a catch-and-shoot guard.

Also, being able to get a player that can operate as the second or third-best player on the team alongside Embiid and Tobias Harris would be ideal.
It remains to be seen if a team like the Trail Blazers would want anything to do with Simmons, unless Lillard would approve the move. If Lillard is okay with Simmons joining Portland, then McCollum becomes an enticing, yet feasible trade candidate for the 76ers.
