The fortunes have turned for these two NBA teams. Years ago, it used to be the San Antonio Spurs competing for titles while the Philadelphia 76ers were preparing for the draft lottery. That is not the case in recent years but the two sides can still get together for a trade.

The Sixers were the best team in the Eastern Conference this season. They finished at the top of the standings and earned the No. 1 seed. Philly has dealt with injuries throughout the postseason and this has them one game away from elimination prior to the Eastern Conference Finals.

This would be a disappointing finish to the season. If they are bounced early, it seems more likely that the front office will look to make a change. Joel Embiid was nearly named MVP so he is not going anywhere but Ben SImmons could be the one dealt if the Sixers want to shake things up a bit.

San Antonio has been going through a bit of a rebuild. They have not been down as much as attempting to reshape the roster for the future. Players like Dejounte Murray and Keldon Johnson have looked like the real deal in the backcourt for San Antonio.

The veteran names like DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge have been in and out of rumors and will both be gone by next season. The Spurs could be looking for that next-level player to help get them back.

These two sides could get together for a blockbuster in the offseason. Let’s take a look at what a deal might look like.
