Does this trade make sense for the Charlotte Hornets?

The Charlotte Hornets will have a chance to weigh all the options once the offseason comes around. They could look to be aggressive in free agency or even add a big man in the draft. If the Hornets are looking for a more proven commodity, they could also look at the trading block to see which big men are available.

If this is the direction they decide to go, Robinson could be one of the better big man available. He has been unable to take the next step because of his injury history but is still young and has a ton of potential. Robinson is a big that can protect the rim and run the floor and transition.

Mitchell Robinson would act as a strong pick-and-roll option along the perimeter with players like LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier. The Hornets would have to give up a first-round pick but it is basically like they are drafting Robinson in that spot, which is fine considering he’s still only 23-years-old.

When thinking about it like that, the trade makes a ton of sense for Charlotte. Robinson is a starting caliber center that can come in and make an impact on both ends right away. The Hornets would have a chance to balance out their lineup moving forward.
