The point guard position is one of the premier positions in the NBA, and the Chicago Bulls need to address it this offseason. Coby White has shown glimpses of potential in his first two seasons in the league, but not enough to warrant penning him in as a starter in 2021-22.

Also, Zach LaVine is best suited as a two-guard on the Bulls, and he would benefit from having an upgrade at the point guard position, as would the rest of the team.

Putting together a roster around LaVine and Nikola Vucevic needs to be the primary focus for Chicago’s front office this summer. Luckily for the Bulls, there are quite a few point guards that should be available in NBA free agency and on the trade market.

It’s just about who Chicago believes could fit alongside their duo of LaVine and Vucevic as they do their research on the point guards who could change teams in the coming months.

Missing the playoffs has become a common theme for Chicago in recent seasons, which is something they want to change sooner rather than later. To do so, the Bulls must begin by adding a new face at point guard to give them a chance to compete in the Eastern Conference.
