DeMar DeRozan has been one of the NBA’s most underrated stars throughout the vast majority of his NBA career with the Toronto Raptors and San Antonio Spurs. Now, he’s set to hit the NBA free agency market and quite a few teams could come calling. One team that would be a perfect landing spot via a sign-and-trade would be the Los Angeles Clippers, who would like to make a splash alongside Paul George and Kawhi Leonard this offseason.

Can you imagine DeRozan teaming up with the superstar duo for the Clippers? He would take their offense to the next level.

During the 2020-21 NBA season with the Spurs, DeRozan ended up averaging 21.6 points per game to go along with 6.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds. He shot 49.5 percent from the floor overall and knocked down 25.7 percent of his three-point attempts. DeRozan has never been able to shoot from the three-point line, but the Clippers wouldn’t need him to shoot.

Figuring out a trade between the Clippers and Spurs to acquire DeRozan via a sign-and-trade actually isn’t too difficult. If Los Angeles wants to get a deal done, they absolutely have the ability to do so.

Let’s take a look at what a potential deal might look like in the offseason based on analysis of Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz‘ trade idea.
