Dallas Mavericks
There are changes brewing for the Dallas Mavericks this offseason after being eliminated by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the playoffs for the second consecutive season. Luka Doncic is a special player and there’s absolutely no way that the Mavericks consider moving on from him this offseason. The same can’t be said for Kristaps Porzingis and the other members on the roster around Doncic.

With the Porzingis experiment not panning out, the Mavericks could elect to pair Doncic with another player that can handle the ball. While Doncic needs to be the primary ball-handler in Dallas, he could benefit from having some of the pressure taken off of him. That is where Brogdon would make sense for the Mavericks, filling multiple needs on Rick Carlisle’s squad.
Even when Doncic is operating the offense, Brogdon is efficient as an off-ball shooter, making 38.6 percent of his outside shots in his career. He’s also a formidable defender at the point guard position and he can create issues for smaller guards due to his size.
Getting Brogdon and another notable player this offseason would be a nice start toward building a new-look supporting cast around Doncic.
