If an NBA team were to call the Minnesota Timberwolves about the availability of Karl-Anthony Towns, they’d likely hear the call dropped immediately. That doesn’t mean a trade involving Towns isn’t possible sometime in the future, whether it be this offseason or before the NBA trade deadline next season.
The other 29 teams in the NBA would love to have Towns on their roster, but in this article, we’ll be highlighting the Toronto Raptors as a possible landing spot for Towns.

The Timberwolves continue to underwhelm in the competitive Western Conference, missing the playoffs for the 16th time in the past 17 years in 2020-21. Minnesota recorded a dismal 23-49 record this season, which was partly due to injury woes, and COVID-19 issues.
At some point though, the Timberwolves have to start fresh, or Towns is going to force his way out due to the incompetence of Minnesota’s front office.
For the Raptors, they have a sound front office intact, especially if Masai Ujiri elects to re-sign with the organization this summer. They also have a solid coach in Nick Nurse despite missing out on the playoffs this season due to a variety of reasons.
