The energy John Collins created was unmatched by the 76ers
John Collins has been very up-and-down against the 76ers in this series through the first three games, having good and bad moments, but in Game 4, he was fantastic. He finished the game with 14 points on 6-15 shooting, but he had 12 huge rebounds, 5 of which came on the offensive-end of the court.
From grabbing offensive-rebounds and throwing them back down to running the court in transition and catching a lob for an alley-oop that electrified the crowd in State Farm Arena, John Collins was excellent in the second-half of Game 4 and his energy was unmatched by the Sixers.

They just kind of let Collins do his thing and with his leaping abilities, he was able to get the crowd back involved in the game, which was bad news for the 76ers. Atlanta has one of the best home court advantages in the NBA given how loud and rowdy their fans get and with Collins making big play after big play to pull the Hawks closer to the 76ers in this one, Atlanta was able to overcome their halftime deficit and pull out a gutsy victory.
Collins is a really good, young talent and quite honestly, the only guy that the Sixers have that can guard him is Ben Simmons. John Collins is just so athletic and lengthy that Tobias Harris can’t really guard him in transition and when that ball is thrown up to the rim, the only guy that can contest it then for Philly is Simmons.
In Game 5, it should be interesting not only to see how the Sixers guard John Collins in the half-court, but to see what adjustments they make to keep him off the offensive-glass. Rebounding is a big edge that Philadelphia has in this series, but if they are going to give up 10+ rebounds to Collins in a game, especially with Capela good for 10+ rebounds every game, then their advantage quickly disappears.
