The 2020-21 season was a tough one for the Toronto Raptors. Their streak of seven straight NBA playoff appearances came to a screeching halt, as they went 27-45, finishing in last place in the Atlantic Division. Only six teams in the league won fewer games than the Raptors this season, who were displaced from Toronto and played their home games in Florida.

Injuries played a part in the struggles, as Stanley Johnson led the team in games played with only 61. In a compressed season, not having your key players as often as you would like causes a lot of road bumps and the Raptors took it on the chin.

Toronto will have some important decisions to make this offseason when it comes to NBA free agency. A top-10 pick will give the Raptors a chance to add another young player to their core, which currently includes OG Anunoby, Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and Chris Boucher.

There will also need to be a decision when it comes to Kyle Lowry’s NBA free agency. Will the Raptors bring him back? Or will he look to sign with a team more ready to contend in 2021-22? It remains to be seen.
